Elder Support in Our Towns

Recently, our members have initiated and participated in Elder Support discussion groups within our towns. Comprised of individuals from various walks of life, the groups focus on defining plans and resources to help elderly residents and shut-ins avoid the debilitating effects of isolation.

We are inspired by the sincere interest shown in these efforts and will continue to work within a community team to advance this critical cause for so many of our residents.

Homesharing is a simple idea where two or more people share a home for mutual benefit. A person offers a private bedroom and shared common space in exchange for rent, help around the home or a combination of the two. It differs from a typical roommate situation because, at its core, it is about two people helping each other.
